David Rodriguez Amela was born in Tarragona, Spain, in 1975. He specialised in languages for his Bachillerato (GCSE, A-Levels) in English, German and Latin and Classic Greek. He then went on to study Anglo-Germanic Philology at the University Rovira y Virgili of Tarragona, Spain, graduating in 2000.
David also studied a one year post-grade, specialising in the Teaching of Spanish as a second language and then moved to Glasgow, Scotland for a year in order to improve his English. Afterwards he moved back to Barcelona where he completed a CAP course (PGCE) in order to get my QTS.
David taught English and Spanish for foreign students for some years, both adults and children, before he moved back to the UK in 2006, to London a city he has always loved and where he wanted to have the experience of living.
During his six years in London he has dedicated himself to the teaching and lecturing of Spanish in different schools, companies, language schools and private tuition. He teaches and has taught for agencies such as Cactus, Berlitz, Spanish Express, the Language Machine, European School of Languages, Lingua or Ariane. He has also taught Spanish in companies such as Google, the BBC, Orange, Betfair and many more and has also had experience in a Secondary School, Kemnal Technology College, teaching from Year 7 to A-Levels. He started lecturing at ESE in February 2011 as a supply teacher becoming the only teacher of Spanish during the course 2011/12.
