David Shaw

He has taught at ESE for more than 7 years. During a long and successful career in consumer goods retailing, buying and marketing – David worked for such famous names as Top Shop, Debenhams, Sears and Burtons from shop floor to board level. He has a deep understanding of consumer and business marketing tactics and strategies. He has lectured internationally on a wide range of business issues and was a Visiting Fellow in Marketing Research at Macquarie University - Sydney. He has also lectured at many famous UK universities including the Universities of Surrey, Middlesex, Stirling, Nottingham, Manchester, as well as The London College of Fashion and The Institute Marangoni. He has considerable experience of post gradaute tutoring and teaching. He holds the Post Graduate Diploma of the Institute of Marketing and focuses on the areas of Marketing, Advertising, PR, Market Research, Marketing Communication, General Management, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Third Sector (Charity), Retailing, International Trade, Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, Green Issues and Business Ethics. His books include Mastering Fashion Marketing, Mastering Fashion Buying & Merchandising Management and The Fashion Handbook. He is an academic who puts practice into theory to help students fully put theory into practice.
