Mary R. Thompson

Mary has been teaching English for seventeen years and has taught at ESE for six years. The courses she has taught include General and Business English, Intercultural Awareness, Media and Communication and Global Challenges. She has a degree in English and European Literature from the University of Essex and after graduating spent four years teaching English and studying Japanese in Japan. She recently returned from five months in Italy where she was working as Academic Coach to a well-known Italian swimmer. While in Italy she was responsible for editing ‘The School for Gods’ by Professor Stefano D’Anna. In addition to working at ESE she also teaches English to businessmen in the City, writes short stories and translates Japanese films.
