Mike Kearsley

Dr Mike Kearsley was recommended to ESE in 2010. He established his own consultancy firm in 1992 after five years with Coopers and Lybrand where he was responsible for all consultancy business development training initiatives and after twenty years in various sales and marketing positions. This experience included six year as a top performing IBM salesman and manager responsible ultimately for the development of the dealer and PC network and as MD of his own direct mail and IBM dealership business. His sales expertise has often been supplemented with extensive market research activity and he is one of the few people to gain a doctorate in aspects of sales activity. He has implemented marketing and sales systems throughout the world with many major companies and has presented at many conferences and also to many business and professional associations. He has provided extensive support for the creation of marketing and consultancy skills and development for the British Computer Society and the Institute of Management Consultancy and contributes to several professional and business periodicals. He is a fellow of a number of professional groups.

He was Marketing Director at Alexander Stenhouse and Marsh McLennan (the two largest insurance brokers), at Computations and CCF (now Misys) in the software industry, at Coopers and Lybrand (now PWC) for consultants and audit/tax professionals. In his role as a marketing consultant he has worked with scores of companies – IBM, Philips, Mars, Thames Water, KPMG, GE, Time, Mori, Dulux, Corp of London etc, etc. He has also developed many programmes for the Middle East and for Africa. He has worked with a number of Management Centres in the UK developing and presenting programmes – London Mgt centre, Europe Japan Centre, Sundridge Park, the Chartered Inst of Marketing.

He was the recipient of the lifetime achievement award from the National Sales and Marketing awards, London for whom he had been a judge for many years. He is a also a Court assistant with the Worshipful Company of Marketors.
