Entrepreneurship

The entrepreneurial manager is the leader and innovator of contemporary business, and is an ever desirable and necessary entity for the success and longevity of small, medium and large organisations.

The Certificate in Entrepreneurship explores entrepreneurial management, and how these managers identifying both challenges and opportunities in the business environment, responding in a way that creates value for an organisation. It will address critical issues such as innovation versus inventions, the creation of a succesful business plan, the importance of continuing entrepreneurial personal development, the identification of business opportunities and threats, and understanding the impact of continuous innovation on business sustainability.

The certificate comprises 4 modules. Each module entails one 3 hours session per week over 12 weeks, either day or evening study. Total classroom time of 36 hours per module.

Internship (Optional): 3-month placement after the ending of 4 modules.

The course is delivered through a series of tutorials and seminars including case studies. Assessment is through a group project and presentation, an individual essay and a final exam. Participants are expected to undertake at least two hours per week of independent study. Upon successful completion of the four modules, students are awarded an ESE certificate. Modules may also be taken independently.
