Fashion & Luxury Goods Management

The fashion industry is a complex, growing and strongly competitive business sector. Becoming a leader in this fast evolving trade requires individuals to possess an extensive array of managerial skills, a high degree of strategic planning capabilities, interpersonal communications abilities and a creative approach to problem solving.

The aim of ESE Professional Programme in Fashion & Luxury Goods Management is to provide a focused and vocationally oriented education in specific aspects of Fashion & Luxury related disciplines, namely fashion research, marketing, trend forecasting, luxury goods management, brand management and retail management. Working closely with key figures within the fashion and luxury goods industry, the programme will equip the students with an invaluable education and skills base. It will ensure that the candidates develop a competitive fashion business curriculum, allowing them to become the leading fashion innovators of tomorrow.

Course Title: Fashion and Luxury Goods Management

Intake Dates: January, April, September

• Fashion Research, Marketing and Trend Forecasting
• Luxury Goods Management
• Brand Management
• Retail Management

Students may choose one of these elective courses:
• Consumer and Buyer Behaviour
• Personal Style Management
• Public Relations
Course Duration: 3 months (1 Academic Term)

Total Course Hours: 165 hours
Mode of Delivery: Each module entails one 3-hour session per week for a total of 15 weekly hours (Monday – Friday).

(Students must have 80% attendance rate to qualify for final exam and certificate)

(In order to provide a unique learning experience with a ratio between Professor to students, no more than 30 students will be admitted into this programme)

Internship (optional): Upon successful completion of the programme participants may opt to take a 3-month internship fitted to their profile and career objectives. An assessment with the ESE Placement Officer will determine their eligibility for a placement.*
Professional Opportunities: This course is aimed to students interested in careers in the fashion and luxury business. On completion of the course, participants will be prepared for careers in fashion magazines, show rooms, press offices, fashion houses and as freelance professional for styling agencies. The programme’s luxury component provides students with concrete knowledge of a vast variety of goods and services, such as jewellery, hotels, concierge services, real estate and so forth.
Credits & Recognition: Upon completion of the programme, participants will be awarded an ESE Certification of successful completion of the programme.
