The internship programme is open to bachelor, master, MBA, and certificate students and is intended as an integral part of course programme, consisting of the internship based activities as demanded by the company in collaboration with ESE. The objective of the internships is to tie these activities to the academic modules covered in the student’s course of study, reflecting on their experiences in relation to their coursework.
In addition the internship aims provide students wishing to pursue a career in a select field with relevant work experience and provide a solid foundation from which to undertake further employment in the selected area.
Upon completion of the internship programme, the student should be able to:
• produce an appropriate portfolio connecting work experience to their desired are of specialisation
• apply theories and principles to specific situations within the work environments
• function well within a team as well as in a leadership role
• demonstrate confidence in personal and professional skills
• understand the business world from an experiential perspective
• demonstrate advanced critical thinking and communication skills
Internship Portfolio
ESE requires every student to complete an individual portfolio, a record of reflections and experiences during their internship, that will include an:
• overall explanation of the learning experience and personal development achieved
• analysis of observations and experiences as relative to specialisation and coursework
• analytical case study addressing a business issue presented during internship
Transferable Skills
• advanced oral and written communication skills
• team work and leadership capabilities
• experiential reflexivity
• time management
