Specialisations

Marketing Specialisation
The Marketing specialisation explores critical marketing communication tools, techniques and media, giving a special emphasis to integrated marketing communications (IMC) and its recent evolution; the importance of services within modern economics and the marketing goals and strategies that need to be tailored accordingly; the concepts, principles, tools and techniques of marketing management; marketing decision-making and the relationship of marketing functions to other management functions; ethical behaviour in organisations and corporate responsibility.


International Finance Specialisation

The International Finance specialisation addresses investment decisions as taken by institutional investors (banks, insurance companies, pension funds, mutual funds), as well as by individual households; the principles of investment and risk management for individual financial products as well as portfolios of these products; a step by step perspective of the merger and acquisition process; multinational financial management decisions, global dimensions of finance, foreign exchange markets and rates, derivatives, assessing and managing exposure, acquiring capital, foreign direct investment, multinational capital budgeting, multinational cash management, international trade finance and the international tax and governance environment; ethical behaviour in organisations and corporate responsibility.

 

International Business Specialisation
Students in the International Business specialisation will examine issues such as the problems affecting cross-border transactions from a legal standpoint and legal issues that often arise in the international business environment; decision-making processes used in operations management, and the quantitative tools used to make effective decisions; process planning and analysis, quality management, operations strategies, facilities layout, forecasting, scheduling, and project management; the economics of business and finance and insights into the complexities of the international business environment from a European perspective; ethical behaviour in organisations and corporate responsibility.

 

Entrepreneurship Specialisation
The MBA specialisation in Entrepreneurship includes the study of theory building and understanding of the factors shaping the identification, evaluation, and exploitation of opportunities and the creation of new organisations; conceptual frameworks and practical tools of negotiation; strategic leadership and its impact on business performance developing analytical skills, self awareness and leadership skills; ethical behaviour in organisations and corporate responsibility.
