Celebrated Hyperrealist Sculptor, Carole A. Feuerman, Presents Hyperbodies Exhibition in Florence

The Aria Art Gallery in collaboration with the European School of Economics is proud to present Carole A. Feuerman and her Hyperbodies Exhibition, curated by Antonio Budetta, Federica Cirri and Michelangelo Bastiani.

American artist Carole A. Feuerman is undoubtedly one of the most prominent hyperrealist sculptors of her time who has enjoyed six museum retrospectives to date, been included in numerous exhibitions worldwide and has achieved many notable honors including the Betty Parson's Award for Sculpture, the Lorenzo de’ Medici Prize and the Olympic Fine Arts Exhibition.

Feuerman's work, which focuses on the recreation of the human form in resin, marble, stone and bronze, is created into life-size, monumental and miniature works that achieve human-like tones. In particular, it is her resin sculptures that embody her signature trompe-l'oeil technique, which defines and accomplishes her hyperrealist perfection and which, along with her bronze masterpieces, will form the basis of the Hyperbodies Exhibition.

The exhibits focus on Feuerman's exploration of the female body, her modus operandi, ridding the notion that women are the 'weaker sex' and celebrating the feminine form as strong and sensuous, and of sound mind and body. Often discussed as being symbolic to the myth of Venus, Feuerman recreates in spectacular simplicity the inner goddess of woman, portraying the sheer vitality that symbolizes the eternal feminine.

The inauguration will take place on Thursday 16th June at 6:30pm at the Aria Art Gallery, Borgo SS Apostoli, 40/r Florence and guests are asked to reply RSVP by telephone +39 055 216150 or via email events@ariaartgallery.com. Press Office: Alessandra de Bianchi.

The exhibition will be presented from 17th June - 22nd September. Private viewing's can be arranged by appointment.
