ESE Milan goes Tortona

It is with utmost pleasure that we announce the address of the new Milan campus: Via Tortona, 7 (T7).

The new campus will be available from Monday, 26th July 2010.

The choice to situate the European School of Economics of Milan in a new location, bigger and more modern, reflects the growing importance of this centre in the international network that this year has seen the opening of a new ESE campus in downtown Madrid.

The new location of Via Tortona meets the need to expand our academic grounds and be in the heart of the city’s most creative and lively area.

The new campus is an all-ESE three-story building with a spacious courtyard that will also feature a club-house bistro (opening January 2011).

The relocation from the prestigious building of Porta Vittoria to Via Tortona is also a tribute to the intelligent reconversion of an area of industrial archaeology into the new district of excellence for all that is fashion, design, and finance, magnet for the entrepreneurial elite and the trend setters of our times.

In addition, Via Tortona is in walking distance from the beautiful Naviglio Grande canal, designed by Leonardo Da Vinci – today a definite Milan hot-spot with its bohemian clubs and cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Prof. Anthony Di Benedetto visitng Professor at ESE Rome

From May 5th through to June 30th, ESE Rome will have the pleasure of hosting professor Anthony Di Benedetto. Professor Di Benedetto will be conducting post graduate courses pertinent to various marketing sectors, as key note speaker he will specifically address two vital areas, Marketing Management as well as International Finance.

His participation in these courses will without doubt further pristine the postgraduate certificate programs currently offered at ESE’s Rome centre.
As head of the Marketing faculty and Senior Washburn Research Fellow at Philadelphia’s Temple University, Di Benedetto was nominated as one of the worlds 50 best university researchers in Innovation Technology Management.

Along with conducting courses at some of the world’s most respected and prestigious Universities, one of his many extracurricular roles is Director of Product Management Journal (www.pdma.org).

We asked Prof. Di Benedetto a couple of questions.

- What do you think about the European School of Economics?

I have heard many good things about the graduate business program at ESE from my colleagues who have taught there. I had the pleasure of visiting as a guest lecturer a couple of years ago in Prof. Mahanty's marketing class and was very impressed by the students. Since I am based in Italy almost every summer I was motivated to learn more about the program.

- Which is the goal of your Marketing course?

The marketing course it's a comprehensive course about the marketing of services. Developing new services, and marketing them to the public, pose certain challenges due to the extreme importance of customer interaction at every phase of service delivery. Through the use of cases, discussions,
examples, and lectures, we revisit familiar marketing principles, but with an eye to how these need to be adapted and applied in the particular case of services.
