Hotel Management

The Certificate in Hotel Management provides the next generation of hotel sophisticated professionals with the instruments that are required to handle the ever growing complexity of the hotel & leisure travel industry.

Vital topics will be covered such as, analyzing of statistical methods for managerial decision-making, probability, descriptive and inferential statistics, and regression. Quantitative techniques common to many introductory statistics courses are examined, but the emphasis is on understanding concepts such as uncertainty, inferences from sample data, and model formulation, and on utilizing these techniques as aids in decision-making.

The certificate comprises 4 modules. Each module entails one 3 hours session per week over 12 weeks, either day or evening study. Total classroom time of 36 hours per module.

Lessons will be held by both business professors or other highly renowned visiting professors and professionals working within the hotel business.

This program is geared to both students who are just beginning in these fields as well as those who already have studied or possess work experience.

The course is delivered through a series of tutorials and seminars including case studies. Assessment is through a group project and presentation, an individual essay and a final exam. Participants are expected to undertake at least two hours per week of independent study. Upon successful completion of the four modules, students are awarded an ESE certificate. Modules may also be taken independently.
